CRISTAL CORAZON PROJECT

This is a small fund started by a RN to assist a couple of small native villages in the Amazon. We help buy medicines and medical supplies as well as school supplies for the local children. We are hoping in the future to assist in larger ways, so plans are being formulated in how we can best serve. We will be glad to share photos and talk with you about it when you visit.

Location

Whether you come by boat or plane just head for the Plaza de Armas. From the Plaza, go up Napo 3 blocks, the crossroads is Nanay the hostel is ½ block to the right on Nanay, you will see the Cristal Corazon sign. 130 Nanay is between Napo and Nauta, so if you are in a mototaxis or taxi they will have to circle the block as it is one way.

Taxi drivers may try to lead you to another hostel but just insist you wish to come here; there is a commission business in most South America countries so recommendations may not always be based on the merits of the business, but strictly the financial pay off.
